Our local chapter follows the direction of our illustrious Grand Chapter with service programs focused on our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

Physical and Mental Health
-
Political Awareness and Involvement
The Union County Alumnae Chapter has served Union County since our chartering on January 28, 2011. Despite various challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, our mission remains the same, SERVICE. We continue to serve the community through programs based on the needs of our community. We are motivated and driven to continue our efforts in our community throughout the 2023-2025 biennium, with our theme “THE POWER of “U”. We will strive to Uphold our Standards and Understand our Mission, while Uplifting our Sisterly Bond.
We have shared our mission and partnered with some other community organizations like the Union County Community Shelter and Union County Dept. Of Human Services since our early years as a chapter. Since our inception, we have awarded over $10,000 in scholarships on an annual basis to deserving young women who are Seniors in High School based on their academic excellence. We continue to mentor young women in Middle and High School through our Delta Academy and G.E.M.S. program. We partner with our local Union County community shelter to serve monthly meals, as well as support other organizations in our community, such as the Alliance for Children, Turning point, Crisis Assistance Ministry, Council on Aging, and Heart for Monroe, to name a few.
As Delta women, we continue to strive to reach even higher goals as we represent the ideals of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. As I reflect on the historical legacy of individual members of our chapter, I find women who have blazed trails and served as role models for our youth, like Jeanette B. Sherrod and Rosa Poston. In our community are women in our organization who are in the forefront of efforts to improve community conditions and success rates in all walks of life.
Thank you for exploring our website. We encourage you to continually check back often to stay abreast of the programs and events we host throughout Union County. We hope that you will enjoy the journey as you learn more about our sorority, our chapter, our members, and our history. Please feel free to contact us for additional information.
Yours in Service,
Deirdre Hatcher
